Number one on the list is Culture Kids. The Arts Centre Gold Coast will be filled with exciting kid-friendly activities for the month of January. Their new initiative showcases a series of workshops; not to mention, events and performances within the school holiday period.
Your kids will surely want to participate in any of the summer programs which includes beginners acting for the screen, dance workshop with Queensland Ballet, guitar class and vocal workshop with Rob Mills. Besides these, The Arts Centre Gold Coast will also be featuring a series of events and shows for everyone to enjoy such as free Pixar Short Films, FLUFF: A Story of Lost Toys and healthy cooking demonstrations. But that's not it! Parents can join in the fun with the Parents Movie screening.
Second is the Sand Safari Arts Festival. Starting February 3 to 26, you will see life-sized sand sculptures inspired by the sand and sea. You can even watch talented sculptors create their sand masterpiece by the beach for the Australian Sand Sculpting Championships.
If you want to see more works of art, follow the Sand Trail map which goes beyond Surfers Paradise. Also keep your eyes peeled for large-scale inflatable arts. UK inflatables artist Filthy Luker is coming back to Gold Coast to feature his incredible creatures from the deep.
Lastly, get ready to enter and celebrate the world of dolls at the first ever Gold Coast Doll Show. It will be held at the Southport Sharks Events Centre on March 5. The show will be featuring a Doll Makers Artist Alley and Creative market as well as dioramas and collection displays. There will also be entertainment fit for all ages as well as raffles.
