The Gold Coast hosts a variety of events for all ages. Apart from Christmas activities and experiences, the Gold Coast is hosting two massive music festivals this November and December, beginning with Festival X.
Festival X Gold Coast
The creators of Australia’s largest electronic music festival Stereosonic, Hardware and Onelove, have teamed up with the world’s leading live entertainment company Live Nation to launch a new summer festival!
The inaugural event was in 2019. However, there was a cancellation in 2020 and 2021 due to restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, they are returning in 2022, led by industry heavyweights.
Festival X will bring together Calvin Harris, Megan Thee Stallion, Don Toliver, MaRLo, Green Velvet, Nina Kraviz, Tchami, Sub Focus, Wilkinson, and many more this summer in one massive party at the Alabaster Sports Field on November 27.
Bring your tickets as well as a valid photo ID. All patrons entering the venue must be at least 18 years old.
Spilt Milk
Prepare for the Spilt Milk summer music festival, which returns to Douglas Jennings Park on December 4 after a two-year hiatus. Spilt Milk premiered in 2016 and featured Flume, Peking Duk, Violent Soho, Gang of Youths, and Vince Staples. Held initially only in Canberra, the music festival expanded to Ballarat in 2019. It’s now on the Gold Coast as well!
The event begins at 11 AM and will feature some incredible artists. So, be there early to make the most of it! There will also be an after-party, so keep an eye on the event’s Facebook page for more information.
Bonus Gold Coast Events
If you can’t get enough music, check out the BLVD Sounds at Cavill Lane Surfers Paradise on December 3 from 4 to 9 PM. BLVD Sounds specialise in live and local music. Catch Tanya George, River Movement, SK Simeon, Satisvibes and a surprise headliner. You will surely enjoy this free outdoor summer street concert. There will also be plenty of food and drink options and an after-party at Steampunk Surfers Paradise beginning at 9 PM.
And, if you have time, stop by Warner Bros. Movie World for their annual Christmas event. In December, White Christmas returns to the world-class park with its iconic white Christmas Parade, lively entertainment, experiences, and unique precincts to explore.
